We Have a Winner for Our Nautica Watch Competition!

We are really pleased to announce we have a competition winner for the Nautica watch worth £375, launched on Facebook last week.

[Drum Roll]…. and the winner is …… Ms Kelli Flanagan of Chatham.

The competition closed this morning with a whopping 572 entrants.  The winner was picked at random by Nautica Watches representative Steve Green who officially handed the watch over to us today before the winner was picked.

Priti Kay, Co-Founder of WatchHub, said she enjoyed watching the interest grow and is pleased for the winner Kelli who posted a facebook message saying that she was “gobsmaked!”. Well its not every day you win a watch worth £375 Kelli, your reaction is understandable.

Priti would also like to thank a few people who stood out during the competition, noteably AJ Silvers and Colin White for their positive enthusiasm and helping getting the message out. Steve Green and Nautica Watches for their support and Robin and Alis from WatchHub who helped run the competition.

WatchHub is featured in Watch Pro Magazine

Our very own has been featured in the industry leading Watch Pro magazine.

Priti (find her on ) was asked by Watch Pro magazine to give her opinion on current issues relating to the watches market and chose to discuss the current situation regarding brands and how they are raising the bar when it comes to online retailers.

According to Priti there is a massive shake up happening as brands decide which online retailers they want to supply and which they don’t.

When vetting retail stores, brands have been very particular about which stores they authorise to sell their products.  They have looked at many factors such as store location, the standard of fitting and even the people behind store.  However, these standards were not as strictly enforced when it came to internet sellers.  Well, not until now anyway.

Not having strict standards for internet retailers has led to heavy discounting as websites compete for online traffic and sales.  While keen pricing is not a bad thing for consumers, it is when it comes at the cost of standards.  Quality brands want to their retailers to set a certain standard.  That could mean the standard of their website or the standard of their customer service.
